Professor Dr. Heinz Schumann is senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Informatics at the Educational University (PH) Weingarten, Germany. He is also a guest lecturer at the Technical University of Karlsruhe (Germany) and was a visiting lecturer at the University of Josef Fourier, Grenoble (France). He has many publications on geometry teaching and learning (with or without computers) in both German and international journals. He has also authored books and book contributions in the German and English language and has developed educational software. He introduced Cabri-Géomètre to German schools and teacher training institutions. His recent didactical research concerns the use of computer algebra and the use of computers in spatial geometry at middle secondary school level.
